ਮਜਦੂਰਾ ਦੀਆ ਮਜਬੂਰੀਆ

ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀ ਕਿੰਨੀਆ ਮਜਬੂਰੀਆ ਹੋਣੀਆ ਉਨ੍ਹਾ ਦੀਆ ਜੋ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਥੈਲਾ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾ ਨੂੰ ।ਸਲਾਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹਨਾ ਦੀ ਹਿਮੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਭੁੱਖ, ਪਿਆਸ  ਅਤੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਕੀਤੀਆ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ।ਸਾਡੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਜੋ ਵਸੇ ਨੇ ਪਰਦੇਸਾ 'ਚ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਐਵੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ?

         ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੀਆ ਉੱਚੀਆ -ਉੱਚੀਆ ਇਮਾਰਤਾ ਤੇ ਆਲੀਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੋਠੀਆ ।ਉਹਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੱਕੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਬਸੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਤਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਵੀ ਨਹੀ ।ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਉਥੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀਆ ਝੁੱਗੀਆ ਬਣਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ।ਅਸੀ ਵੀ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਤੇ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਇਨਸਾਨੀਅਤ।ਫਿਰ ਕਿਉ ਭਾਲਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਮਜਦੂਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤਾ ਲਈ ।ਇਕ ਰੋਟੀ ਨਹੀ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੇ, ਉਝ ਭਾਵੇ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਟੁੱਟ ਵਰਤੇਗਾ 'ਬਾਬੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾ ਲੰਗਰ'।

        'ਉਏ ਛੋਟੂ' ਸਬਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਿਕੰਮੇ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਕਿ ਅਸੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਗਿਲਾਸ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਛੋਟੇ ਜਿਹੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਖਿਡੌਣਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਣ ਦੀ ਹੈ।ਜਿੰਨਾ ਕੁਰਸੀ ਵਾਲਿਆ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਝੂਠਾ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਆਪਣੀਆ ਰੋਟੀਆ ਸੇਕਣ ਲਈ ।ਕੀ ਉਹ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਢਿੱਡ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੇਕ?  ਅਸੀ ਨਹੀ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ।"ਇਸ ਲੀਏ ਤੋ ਚਲੇ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਕੋ।"

English Translation 

I don't know how much compulsion they have to carry the bag and walk to their home. I salute the courage of those who walked without caring about hunger, thirst and place to live. What is our children who have settled abroad?  Dare to come back?

          High-rise buildings and luxurious mansions built for us. They never even thought of their permanent residence. Wherever we could find work, we would build our own slums. We also forget about humanity when the work is completed.  Then why do we go around looking for laborers for our farm. We can't give a single roti, even if we say we will use 'Baba Nanak's langar' incessantly.

         The words 'Uye Chhotu' claim that we are useless, that even for a glass of water we depend on a small child who is old enough to play with a toy.  The heat in our stomachs?  We don't want your country to be sick with any disease. "That's why we left our country."
